This was our first time experiencing Half Moon here in Dobbs Ferry and it was a magnificent moment. Xavier made the dining even better with his service and detail. The Baby Back Ribs, Crab Cakes and the Buffalo Wings were on point and then my Strip Steak was served to perfection. Ask for the Mashed Potatoes, you will be pleased. So I know I will be back at this establishment sometime soon. The view of the Hudson just adds to the ambiance!
The views here are everything, the food was really really good and the service was solid. Our party of 8 had so much stuff, chicken milanese, calamari, oysters, founder sandwich, prosciutto arugula salad, chicharon, shrimp tacos and more...it was all really good. The table said the oysters, shrimp tacos and was really good. All in all a great night.
Perfect for special occasion love the water view. Food is delicious and service are above and beyond friendly and approachable staffs.
If you don't live close by, it's worth a day trip on the Metro North to dine at Half Moon. The appetizers and the view on the Hudson River are worth it. I had the spiced ribs, calamari, Grain salad and HM burger. All very good. Update: I love this gem of a place. Had the Tapas, all very good.
Beautiful restaurant on the Hudson! We just happened upon it when exploring the area. Arrived at Happy Hour. ( so HaPpY! ) The food, drinks, service & views are fabulous. Lots of outdoor seating. The inside is gorgeous too! We returned again the next day to repeat the the evening again!!
First and foremost the staff was on the money. From courtesy to recommendations to being attentive, they were rock stars. The food was outstanding. Didn't get a bad dish from start to finish. The atmosphere, views, food and staff just blew us away. Took a ride up from Brooklyn and will definitely be back. Takes alot to drop 5 stars for me but this visit was flawless. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
This was an unexpected gem, pocketed in the bay this wonderful establishment will be one I will return to for many moons to come. The gorgeous views and attentive staff are definitely something to come back for. Had calamari as a starter, it was slightly over cooked. Excellent flavor all the same. The remainder of items ordered were curated to evident precision.
Sometimes you forget how amazing the food is because of the stunning view. You will never go wrong if you come to Half Moon for the atmosphere or food. 5 stars hands down. Perfect place to sit down and enjoy your meal. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles on the brunch menu.
Attended their first Hispanic Heritage part to celebrate a birthday party, we had a great time. The DJ played some great music, a little bit of everything. They had a variety and plenty of food for any dietary restrictions, we got two free drinks and we just had a great time all around. Plenty of inside and outside seating with fire pits for those cold nights. Multiple bars, beautiful views, gorgeous lounge, I'm looking forward to the visit.
I have no idea why this place gets a low rating. I would give it a solid 4+ stars. Food was good including starting with free bread with shaved Parmesan and 2 different types of olive oils. We had the following dishes and they were all cooked and presented perfectly. - burger - shrimp tacos - miso glazed sea bass - mix of Tapas View was amazing too!
